Our Process

Precision Custom Gasket Manufacturing at PNA Technologies, LLC: Our Process from Design to Delivery

At PNA Technologies, LLC, an ITAR registered company, we specialize in precision custom gasket solutions tailored to meet the high-performance needs of industries such as aerospace, electronics, automotive, and telecommunications. Our core offerings include EMI shielding gaskets, thermal gap pads, conductive O-rings, custom seals, and other precision-engineered components. Through the use of advanced X-Y cutter and rigorous quality control, we deliver parts that meet exact specifications with exceptional accuracy and consistency.
Step 1

Customer Collaboration & Design File Submission

Our production process begins with a collaborative exchange between PNA Technologies, LLC and the customer. Customers typically provide a detailed drawing or design of the product they need manufactured. These designs include critical information such as:

We accept a variety of CAD file formats including DXF, STEP, and other standard design files. Our engineering team carefully reviews these files to ensure accuracy and compatibility with our systems before moving into production.

Step 2

Material Selection & X-Y Cutter Programming

Once the design is confirmed, we match the specified material—ranging from EMI shielding foils to thermally conductive pads—to our inventory or source it as request. These materials are then prepared for production using our Zünd X-Y knife cutting machine, a state-of-the-art computer-controlled system known for its speed, accuracy, and flexibility. We program the machine based on the customer’s CAD file, optimizing tool paths and cutting parameters to ensure minimal waste and high precision.
Step 3

Test Cuts & Dimensional Verification

Before moving forward with full-scale production, we run an initial test cuts to verify the accuracy of the dimensions and overall fit of the product. This initial phase ensures that any inconsistencies can be addressed proactively. For added precision, we utilize a state of the art vision measuring system to inspect the parts. This advanced metrology tool scans and measures the component with high-resolution accuracy, producing a detailed dimensional report. This report is used to confirm that all specifications meet the customer’s requirements.
Step 4

Final Production & Quality Assurance

– ISO 9001:2015 Certified

Once the test cut is verified, we proceed with full production. Throughout this stage, our technicians monitor the cutting process for consistency and inspect batches to ensure dimensional integrity and material compliance. The Keyence vision measuring system is used again, as needed, to produce additional quality reports such as First Article Inspection, and confirm part uniformity across production runs. This ensures that each piece shipped meets our high standards for precision and performance.
Step 5

Packaging & Shipping

After final inspection, the finished parts are cleaned, packaged securely, and prepared for shipment. Whether it is a small initial production run or a large-scale production order, PNA Technologies ensures timely and safe delivery to the customer.

02  The approach

Precision, built
into every step.

PNA Technologies, LLC is an ITAR-registered custom converter serving aerospace, defense, electronics, automotive, and telecommunications programs — from EMI shielding gaskets and thermal gap pads to conductive O-rings and precision seals.

Every part follows the same disciplined path — design to delivery, with quality closed before it ships.

Through advanced X-Y digital cutting and rigorous quality control, we deliver parts that meet exact specifications with exceptional accuracy and consistency. No die tooling, no minimum-quantity penalty — prototype and production run on the same floor.

The five stages below move a drawing from first engineering review, through programming and verification, into full production and inspected shipment.

01

Collaborative by design

Engineering reviews every file for accuracy and compatibility before a single cut is programmed.

02

Die-free conversion

Zünd digital cutting converts sheet and stock to exact print geometry — no tooling cost, rapid revisions.

03

Verified, not assumed

Test cuts and vision metrology confirm dimensions against your drawing before production scales.

04

Documented quality
